Dr. Ma is currently out of office for a Sabbatical from August 1st to September 30th, 2022. She will not be able to respond to any inquiry until she returns on October 3rd. If you need immediate assistance, please check out our referral list of local house-call veterinarians.
Compassion Pet Hospice serves the East Bay Area of Northern California since 2015. We provide our beloved pets with the alternative of spending the last season of their lives in the comfort and warmth of their home. Our services include phone and online consultation, in-home customized palliative/hospice care (short-term/long-term), chronic pain management, in-home euthanasia, and online pharmacy.
We are currently closed to receiving new hospice clients. If you are an existing client or contacted Dr. Ma in the past, please email her directly regarding hospice care. We are open for home euthanasia visit and online quality of life asssessment for new clients. We will implement the following protocol for home visit:
1) Dr. Ma will need to talk to you on the phone after you request an appointment online to confirm the appointment
2) Outdoor appointment is preferred, well-ventilated indoor appointment will be accommondated
3) Dr. Ma will be wearing KN95 mask for the visit. Your family is required to wear masks and practice social distancing if there's any symptom of sore throat/runny nose/cough/sneezing regardless of your vaccination status
It is heartbreaking that we are not able to do what we used to do (like hugging each other to show care and support). However, safety comes first. It is very important that we can communicate over the phone prior to the visit to come up with a customized plan for your pet's peaceful transition at home.
