A peaceful, unhurried farewell in the place your pet loves most — home.
Our in-home euthanasia visit includes gentle sedation, the euthanasia procedure, a personalized clay paw print, grief and pet-loss resources, and notification to your family veterinarian of your pet's passing. A two-hour appointment window is reserved so you never feel rushed during these precious final moments.
Available for dogs, cats, and small mammals (rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and more).
Saying goodbye at home, in familiar surroundings, is a gift — for your pet and for you. In-home euthanasia is offered both as the conclusion of hospice care and as a standalone service. If you are struggling with the decision, Dr. Ma offers guidance and a complimentary 10-minute phone consultation.
Before the appointment: you may wish to notify loved ones who want to be present, arrange any tributes or rituals that matter to your family, and choose the location — indoors, the backyard, a favorite park, or even the beach. Plan feeding and bathroom timing, have bedding ready (some incontinence can occur afterwards), and prepare payment and any urn you have chosen.
At the appointment: paperwork is handled first so the rest of the visit stays peaceful. Dr. Ma gives a sedation injection, then allows a quiet waiting period before the final injection once you have said your goodbye. You are welcome to stay close or to step out — whatever feels right. A clay paw print and a lock of hair are prepared as keepsakes, and aftercare transport is arranged (please note Dr. Ma's solo lifting limit of 30 lbs).

A two-hour appointment window is reserved for every visit, so there is no rush — you may take all the time you need to say goodbye. If the appointment runs beyond two hours, an overtime fee of $100 per additional 30 minutes applies.
In-home euthanasia is available for dogs, cats, and small mammals such as rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. Dr. Ma is not able to serve dogs weighing over 99 lbs, nor birds, fish, reptiles, or amphibians.
Changes in appetite, mobility, breathing, interest in family, and the balance of good days versus bad days are common signs. If you are struggling with the decision, Dr. Ma offers guidance and a complimentary 10-minute phone consultation. An online quality of life assessment ($250) provides a structured evaluation and a customized care plan.
Yes. You may invite loved ones who want to be present, and choose the location — indoors, the backyard, or a favorite place. During the procedure you are welcome to stay close or to step out, whatever feels right for you.
Aftercare is entrusted to Animal Memorial Service (AMS). With individual cremation, your pet's ashes are returned to you in a complimentary urn, generally within 10–14 days. With communal cremation, ashes are respectfully scattered over the ocean. Private burial arrangements can also be made directly with a pet cemetery, and Dr. Ma will prepare your pet for burial on request.
